Spiritual Jazz Classic, Remastered with Obi-Strip

The final release from Detroit's Tribe collective. Issued in 1976, shortly before Phil Ranelin's move to Los Angeles, Vibes From The Tribe is a spiritual-jazz and rare-groove classic. Ranelin's love of funk is on full display, from the steady, sample-ready groove of the title prelude to the breezy bossa nova of "For the Children" and the sprawling 18-minute closer "He the One We All Knew." Newly remastered with an obi-strip.

Features

  • Remastered reissue with obi-strip
  • Label: Now-Again Records
